Planned drilling works to resume to ensure electricity supply in Clovelly, surrounds

Drilling works will resume this week and will be carried out in the Silvermine Wetland from 8 May 2025 until 15 June 2025 to secure electricity supply. Residents will have electricity supply while the work is being carried out and are notified of possible noise that may be experienced during this period. The City apologises for any inconvenience.
Drilling works will be carried out in the Silvermine Wetland from 8 May 2025 until 15 June 2025 to reroute electrical cables and secure the electrical supply in Clovelly, Sun Valley, Fish Hoek, Kommetjie and surrounding areas. Drilling works will be carried out every day from 08:00 to 22:00 with generators running from 08:00 to 19:30.
Residents are notified of possible noise that may be experienced during this period. It is important to note that residents will have electricity supply while the work is being carried out.
